Last week, our founder Lucas Crimson and his wife Rianne became elders. They built a greenhouse to stock up for their level 5 business Crimson Fish & Foods and their three youngest sons Philip, Jonathan and David left for college. Only Matthew, their oldest son, didn't want to go to college and stayed home with his parents.
When Rianne is at work, Lucas and Matthew take care of the greenhouse. They don't have the gold gardening badge (yet), but they can at least weed.
Rianne got promoted to level 9!
Matthew is quite lonely now that his brothers left the house. He uses the desk of the twins to make his homework.
When he finished his homework, he invited Magda Dooijer. He rolled the want to get his first kiss, and wants to go steady with her. Both happened :-)
Which was great, because that night was his birthday and he was in platinum!
Magda grew up with him, and they immediately fell back in love after one little kiss.
They wasted no time, and Magda moved in with them right away.
Here she is after a little makeover. I really like her in other challenges, so I'm happy she's in my BACC now! She's a Family/Knowledge Sim with the LTW to become Education Minister. She's an Aquarius, 4/4/4/7/6.
ACR made them run for the bedroom immediately after moving her in.
Matthew, being a Family Sim too, rolled the want to propose. I let him, and of course Magda said yes.
There wasn't a position in Education available today, so Magda kept her job in Law Enforcement (level 7) for now as there were a few openings in that career.
Matthew did find a job in Architecture, though! It's nice to see the second generation all grown up.
When Magda came home from work, the guests for their wedding already had arrived. It's the first time I threw a wedding party!
The guests quickly went inside (or fishing...), so when they cut the cake it was just Matthew and Magda.
Lucas went inside for a toast, but oh no... Do you see what I see?!
I thought he had one more day left, otherwise I wouldn't have thrown a party now :-( Lucas also was determined not to die in the middle of his son's wedding party.
Grim Reaper wasn't in for any kind of discussion, though. Bye, Lucas! You were a great founder!
Everyone was devastated by the sudden loss of Lucas.
Everyone but Robin, who decided to have a toast anyway.
And even though Lucas passed, the party was a roof raiser!
I was worried I'd lose Rianne right after Lucas, when she got electrocuted due to the broken trash compactor. Thankfully, she survived. That's the third electrocution in Crimson Falls, which leads to another opening in Law Enforcement!
After a very eventful day, Matthew and Magda ACR tried for baby. I decided to let ACR decide when and how many children they will have. The house is big enough for a whole bunch anyway. Being both Family Sims, I'd like to see what ACR does.
The next day, both Matthew and Magda came home with a promotion, both thanks to a good chance card. Matthew is now level 2, Magda is level 8.
This is where things were starting to get messed up. I suddenly noticed an action I didn't recognize in Rianne's queue, saying "Waiting for Philip." As Philip arrived, she kissed him. I was freaking out, because Philip was practically her son (for those who don't remember, Philip was Lucas' alien baby). Maybe now that Lucas has passed, the game doesn't see them as family members anymore?!
Anyway, I freaked out, thinking about deleting ACR right away. Then I realized ACR was also lots of fun, and I just left the room and didn't look at Rianne and Philip anymore. Gross.
On to better things: Matthew got promoted to level 3!
And the first baby of generation 3 is on its way! Yay!
Magda found an opening in the Education career, she could start at level 2. It's her LTW to top Education, otherwise I wouldn't have let her quit her level 8 Law Enforcement job.
Despite her being on maternity leave, I sent her to work. Even in her pajamas she obviously made a good impression, as she got promoted to level 3 right away! Matthew also got promoted to level 4 of the Architecture career.
He immediately left for work again, and came home with yet another promotion. He's now level 5!
Pop! Magda looks so excited. She's adorable.
Matthew also couldn't wait for their little one to arrive.
The next day, Magda went into labor! Sadly, Rianne missed the birth as she was jogging at the moment.
They had a little boy named Josiah. Both of them were overjoyed.
And when she came home, Rianne immediately ran over to play with her first grandchild. It's been quite an eventful and emotional week for her, and she was thrilled to have a little joy in her life again.
I decided to let deceased Sims count for my population, as I think it is not fair to remove them from the population after I played them all their lives.
