Crimson Falls BACC - Week 13: Mauve II

Last week was an intense one for the Mauve II family. Oscar, Dean and Kyle slowly adjusted to life together with Oscar’s friend with benefits Marieke and her children Florence and Cordelia. Just as they all found their place in this newly blended family, things were about to get different again: Marieke found out she was expecting. Dean loved taking care of his new stepsisters. Marieke loved her new life, despite the fact they were living in a far too small house with too many Sims - and even more on their way. Because of course, as it’s just my luck, Marieke gave birth to twins: Simone and Victor. By the end of the week Oscar was an elder, Marieke was an adult, Dean and Kyle were teens, Florence and Cordelia were children and Victor and Simone were toddlers. There was another busy week ahead of them!

Here’s a quick overview from the upper floor. One of the children has to sleep in Oscar and Marieke’s room, but for now, they all fit and no one had to sleep on the couch.

What a terrible way to start this week. Marieke got electrocuted while trying to repair the trash compactor. I really don’t want Oscar to lose another lover due to electrocution, Lynn’s death was still quite fresh. Luckily, Marieke survived. She did cause a fire though, opening another position in the Law Enforcement career.

Oscar got promoted to level 8 of the Law Enforcement career. He might even reach his LTW this rotation.

Marieke’s childbearing days were now officially over: she became an elder.

Oscar had rolled the want to get married. I wasted no time: I locked the want in and let him propose to Marieke. While they weren’t in a committed relationship - it was more like some kind of open relation, friends with benefits and take care of the children together kind of relationship. But hey, they could have that while being married too!

Their hands were always full - but so were their hearts. Despite the amount of tragedy these Sims went through in their life, this really was one of the most happy Sim families in Crimson Falls. Maybe even the happiest.

Oscar was lucky: he had a good chance card and got promoted to level 9.


Birthday time! The twins are becoming children today.

Here they are. I think they look very similar, despite their different skin color.

Dean maxed his Creativity skill by painting.

Florence had a birthday. She rolled Family/Popularity with the LTW to become general. She’s straight and would like to have 3 kids when she grows up. I think she’s just as gorgeous as her big sister Gwyneth - and Kyle thinks so, too. I have to keep an eye on them, as they are not related but I’m not sure I’d like them to have some ACR action because they’re step siblings.

Now that Florence became a teen, Cordelia was happy to have another sister to play with.

Marieke enjoyed watching her kids growing up - especially if it meant she can lie on the couch and watch them interact.

He did it! Oscar topped the Law Enforcement career and fulfilled his LTW! It opened a position in the Journalism career.

That afternoon, Oscar and Marieke had an intimate wedding with their children - though I must admit I completely forgot about Gwyneth and Moses, so they weren’t there.

It was interrupted by Dean having his birthday, lol. So please ignore his outfit - I tried to make it all match but I didn’t thought of this.

So, now that the wedding is over, here’s a picture of Dean as an adult. Aww, Lynn would’ve been so proud. Of course, his high school sweetheart Belinda grew up with him.

With his perfect creativity skills, Dean sure was the right person to paint the wedding portrait.

The portrait of Oscar, toddler Dean and pregnant Lynn was moved to the other side of the living room. Of course, it was still in a very visible place. But the spot above the couch was now reserved for the wedding portrait of their beautiful blended family.

The next day, Dean invited Belinda over. They were still as much in love as in their high school days. As the house was already quite crowded, he didn’t ask her to move in. But he promised her: once he found a place of his own, she could come live with him.

Kyle bootie called Becca. He also rolled the want to go to college, but his odds weren’t high enough. Too bad.

On Sunday evening, it was time for Dean to move out. Next rotation, he’ll have a household of his own.

Crimson Falls BACC - Week 13: Dorrestein III

Last week, Nolan, Moses and Gwyneth were trying to get used to a life without their ex wife and mom Marieke. Gwyneth bought her first community lot and got a crush on a girl named Felicia. Nolan became an elder.

Nolan topped his Law career! It wasn’t his LTW, as he already fulfilled that, but it was still a nice achievement.

Gwyneth and Nolan were living a quiet, easy life together. It wasn’t very interesting.

Their elderly dog Rocky was adorable as ever. I was afraid he would pass away this rotation.

Sometimes, Moses stopped by. It looked a little strange that he already was an adult and his twin sister wasn’t, but that was because of him going to uni and already been played this rotation.

As Nolan was being kind of depressed, I figured he could use some love. He had enough money so he called the gypsy matchmaker to see what she had in store for him.

His match was a townie named Elizabeth. She was a little young for him, and a Romance Sim, but they had two bolts and I felt like Nolan deserved a little fun. 

Gwyneth, who came home from school, didn’t like what she saw.

I didn’t particularly like Elizabeth, mostly because she was a Romance Sim and Nolan deserved better after his failed marriage with Marieke. I did feel like Nolan deserved love again though. I let him have some fun with Elizabeth and decided he would have another blind date later.

Elizabeth left a nice bouquet of roses though.

Nolan’s second date was quite… special. But nothing that couldn’t be fixed with a little VamprocillinD. He and Sabine had also quite an age gap and two bolts, just like Nolan and Elizabeth. Sabine was a Pleasure Sim, which suited Nolan better.

I actually liked Sabine. Not only did they roll love related wants, they also just wanted to have fun together - so they did. I felt like she might be a good match for Nolan.

Just as I wanted to move Sabine in, she decided to bite Nolan. Dammit Sabine. So, another call to the matchmaker it was.

Sabine moved in (with over 50,000 Simoleons!) and they cured their vampirism together, as I really don’t like playing vampires. Sadly, Sabine seemed bugged - even though I cured her from vampirism she kept walking weirdly and freezing my game. So, still no love for Nolan. I cheated Sabine away (and also took her money, as it didn’t feel fair to keep it).

So, I didn’t take pictures but I sent Nolan to one of his businesses, as he might find some love there. He met Christine there and they really hit it off.

Eventually, she moved in with Nolan and Gwyneth. Christine is a Fortune/Family Sim with the LTW to have 6 pets reach their top career level. Her Ideal Family Size is 2 (so that’s some work to do for Nolan, lol). She was at level 7 of the Criminal career but had to quit as there wasn’t an open position there.

Nolan and Christine immediately started working on that IFS of 2, lol. To be honest, I was looking for some nice elderly lady to accompany Nolan in his elder days, not for a young woman who wanted children and stuff. But Nolan didn’t complain - so me neither.

Christine got a new job in the Business career, at level 2.

Aww, Rocky! He was such a good dog. He will definitely be missed. Bye little guy! I also noticed the family portraits were still on the wall. I put them in Gwyneth’s inventory to keep, just as the wedding portrait in the master bedroom.

Gwyneth invited her crush Felicia over. Their shared their first kiss. I’m really in doubt whether I should let Gwyneth inherit te house (and Christine move out when Nolan passes), or Christine (and probably their future children) should stay in the house and Gwyneth should move out when she grows up.

Well that was fast.

As the family was devastated by the loss of Rocky, they adopted a new dog. Meet Reggie.

Nolan proposed to Christine. Look how happy he was! Finally he might be getting his happily ever after.

Birthday time for Gwyneth! Of course, Felicia aged up with her.

No time to be wasted: Felicia moved in. She’s a Knowledge/Pleasure Sim with the LTW to become Mad Scientist. Her ideal family size is 5 and I was surprised to see she’s at level 6 of the Medical career.

She ditched her job in Medical right away to start a career in Science. She could start at level 2.

Ah, breakfast… The most appropriate time for a proposal.

Gwyneth bought a virtual business. As this was the 50th business in Crimson Falls, it means +1 for the Sim Multiplier. This meant the population went up from 14,413 (21,655 including CAS points) to 14,616 (22,032).

Gwyneth was present at the birth of her new sibling. It was a strange thing, becoming a big sister while she was an adult already.

Nolan came home just moments too late to watch Lucinda being born. He immediately was over the moon to have a baby daughter though. Lucinda has her mom’s last name (Hendriks) as they aren’t married.

Now that her dad had a new wife and a new baby, Gwyneth decided it was time for her and Felicia to move out. She had saved quite a big amount of money so she was sure able to buy a nice new house for her and her fiancée.
