Crimson Falls BACC - Week 13: Van der Toorn

Last week, Gabriel and Debora rented a nice house together. They adopted a kitten named Dobby. Both of them found a job, and Debora surprised me by not getting pregnant on her first day of adulthood. I didn't have to wait long though: halfway through the rotation she started to get morning sickness. With a little baby bump, she and Gabriel got married before the arrival of their son Atticus. Gabriel was fine with having one child, but Debora's ideal family size was 3, so let's see what this rotation has in store for them.

Let’s say it probably won’t stay with only one child for them.

Gabriel was still perfectly happy with having one kid.

Debora brought home a promotion - and a pop. It was a bit of a shock, but she was instantly happy with it.

This pregnancy really took its toll on her. She was glad when she entered her last trimester.

Gabriel also got a promotion because of a good chance card. 

Birthday time for Atticus! To be honest, I was a bit nervous about what he would look like. His parents aren’t the prettiest Sims in Crimson Falls.

Well, it could’ve been worse I guess. Atticus is incredibly neat and really outgoing.

He was also very fond of Dobby.

Just as Gabriel was taking a quick nap before work, Debora went into labour.

As he had to rush to work, he didn’t witness the birth of his second son.

With that, he also missed the birth of his first daughter.

Welcome to Crimson Falls, little Henry and Nancy van der Toorn.

Their last spare room was now another nursery.

Suddenly having three young kids when you only wanted one - and just got adjusted to the fact you were going to have a second - was hard on Gabriel. He did love all three of his children, he just never would’ve thought this was the way his life would develop.

Even for Debora, who was a Family Sim, this life was intense. She started taking birth control.

I wasn’t looking forward to the moment they had three toddlers to take care of, but it was inevitable. Here’s Henry, an incredibly outgoing and active little guy.

Nancy had quite a balanced personality, except for the fact she was extremely neat.

Atticus still wasn’t potty trained, which made 3 toddlers to take care of even harder. So Debora tried to fix that as soon as possible.

I was just begging their birth control wouldn’t fail. Despite being a Family Sim, Debora was quite bad at taking care of her children. And don’t even get me started on Gabriel. He just doesn’t do anything with the kids unless I force him to.

Thank God.

He looks so much like his dad.

His nursery changed into a bedroom, which was already prepared for sharing it with his younger brother later.

Luckily Atticus was quite an independent child. Two toddlers were slightly easier to handle than three. 

Most of the time.

I had to admit: I was glad when the rotation was over for this family.
