Last week, Lynn got pregnant and gave birth to their second son: Kyle. Oscar finally found a job in his desired career. He and Lynn got married, and they celebrated some of their kids' birthdays.
The Mauve II family is off to a great start this week. They moved to a bigger house! As far as I know, Lynn isn’t pregnant right now, but both she and Oscar had rolled the want and the fear to have another baby and that definitely wouldn’t fit inside their old house. Let’s see what the future holds for this little family!
After moving houses their funds were quite low, so when both Lynn and Oscar got promoted on the same day, the money was very welcome.
In their new home, there was room enough for a cat. So they adopted Loki, one of the Boots x Baby litter from the Van der Storm family. Dean was over the moon, as he had the want for a pet for quite some time now.
Oscar and Lynn were actively trying to have a third baby, but because of Lynn’s age their odds weren’t very high. ACR is decreasing the odds to get pregnant a little too fast for my liking, as I feel forced to have them pop out kids one after the other before it’s too late. If they take a little more time, like Oscar and Lynn do, it seems nearly impossible to get them pregnant again :-(
And then... This happened. Lynn was outside, playing in a puddle, when a thunderstorm started. Before I could even cancel her action, she got hit by lightning. Right in front of her oldest son, who came outside because he wanted to play with her.
Oscar was fast asleep, so I immediately woke him up...
But it was too late. Before he was downstairs to plead, the Grim Reaper had already taken Lynn with him.
They shared one last goodbye as I sent her tombstone to the graveyard. Goodbye Lynn, you will be missed :-(
Everyone, me included, was very sad. I felt so sorry for Dean and Kyle. And for Oscar, of course.
That night, Dean slept next to his dad, while dreaming of his mom. It was heartbreaking.
While everyone was still grieving, it was time for Kyle to become a child.
He grew up adorable.
Oscar, still being a Romance Sim, was feeling quite lonely. He booty called Marieke van Oosterom, who was newly divorced, so this time their romance wasn’t adultery.
The boys were getting along great, and really supported each other in this difficult times.
Another birthday! This time, Dean will become a teen.
He rolled Popularity/Grilled Cheese with the LTW to become The Law. His ideal family size is 3 and he’s straight.
On Sunday afternoon, Oscar brought home another promotion. He was now at level 7 of the Law Enforcement career.
And just after 6 PM, he asked Marieke van Oosterom to move in with them. They weren’t in a romantic relationship; more a FWB kind of thing. But now that Marieke lived alone with two young children and Oscar had lost his wife, they could definitely use each other’s support.
And so Oscar, Marieke, Dean, Kyle, Florence and Cordelia became a household of six.
