The first new household of this week: the Van der Toorns! Last week, high school sweethearts Gabriel and Debora graduated college, where they got engaged. Let’s see what the adult life has in store for these two!
They bought this nice house together. Their neighbours are Joel Lim and Willow Crimson, who we will see later this rotation.
As Debora really wanted a pet, so they adopted Dobby. One of the Toto and Sally kittens from the Crimson III household.
There weren’t any open positions in both the Education and the Intelligence career today. Too bad.
I wonder how long it will take for Debora to get pregnant. Her ideal family size is 3, while Gabriel’s is 1.
Just after midnight, Debora checked the computer and there was an open position at level 3 of the Education career. She gladly accepted the job.
While Debora was at work, Gabriel tried other ways to make money.
He only managed to find rocks and bones, while Debora brought home a promotion.
Gabriel was happy when he also found a job. It was only at level 2, despite his education. But it was better than being unemployed.
He was very lucky: on his first day of work, he got a promotion because of a good chance card.
Debora got another promotion that day. She and Gabriel celebrated in their own way.
Ah, I was already starting to get worried. Most of the time, my Sims get pregnant on their first day of adulthood, lol. Debora took a little more time.
Dobby had his birthday and became an adult cat.

Debora got her first pop, which also changed her hairstyle. Oh well.
We all know what this means...
Wedding time!
The guests didn’t all fit in the small room where the wedding took place, so they just stood in the living room clapping. For some reason, the formal wear changed Debora’s hairstyle back to normal.
Gabriel shoved some cake in his pregnant wife’s face. Oh well, let's be honest: that's not very different from how every pregnant woman ever eat when they're by themselves.
The party was a roof raiser!
The next day, they both had to work. Debora - despite being pregnant - brought home another promotion. I was planning on having them buy a business this rotation, and it looked like it was going to work out as I planned.
She got her second pop that evening.
Gabriel also brought home a promotion. And the next day, he had another one. They’re both at level 6 now, all in one rotation!
They both needed to work on roughly the same skills, so there was a lot of chess involved.
But that night, their game of chess got interrupted.
It was for a good cause, though: the birth of their first son Atticus.
One of the spare rooms was furnished for the little boy.
Gabriel loved being a dad, but for him, it was fine for Atticus to stay their only child. As Debora has an ideal family size of 3, I can’t wait to find out what the future has in store for them next rotation!
But before the rotation was over, they bought two community lots! Yes, I fully admit I completely forgot about that and only remembered one hour before the rotation would be over, hence the terrible pictures. This one is Club Atticus (I really had no inspiration for a name).
And this one is The Brightest Bulb, where they sell lamps. I didn’t play them at all, I just needed them for the Sim Multiplier, which went up by 1 and is now 54, bringing the population from 9381 to 9558.
