Last week, Jack and Jonathan became elders. Jinger became a child. Jonathan topped his career, while the three teens were working hard to get accepted into uni. Jana found love in Elisa Bender, a townie. By the end of the week, she turned out to be the only one to go to college: James' and Josh' odds were too low to enroll.
Their previous house was quite bugged, so the Philips family moved to a new home! James will keep living here once he becomes an adult, as it’s also nice for his future family. They took a lot of furniture from their previous home.
This house had enough room for a pet: they adopted Joy, one of the Toto and Sally kittens.
Basil Petal, Christopher van der Toorn and Tyler Peerik stopped by to welcome the family to their new home.
I love how Jack is still so vibrant, despite his age. I kept catching him doing stuff like this. He’s such a great father.
Jack got his final promotion and topped the science career! It opens one position in Intelligence.
Josh’ LTW is to top Oceanography, and to apply for that job he needs a golden fishing badge. So I placed a small pond in the backyard so he can work on his fishing skills. The bench besides the pond is already Jack and Jonathan’s favourite place.
When I furnished this house, I was in doubt whether there should be a little playing area in the living room or not. Their youngest kid was already getting close to becoming a teen and it felt a bit unnecessary. But Jinger was playing here all the time, so I’m glad I did.
Joy became an adult cat. She’s so fluffy!
She was very clingy, following Jack everywhere. Jack got a little uncomfortable with Joy watching him writing in his journal.
Birthday time! Jinger is growing up today.
She’s so gorgeous. She rolled Family/Popularity, with the LTW to become The Law. She’s straight and her ideal family size is 2.
As her LTW was to top the Law career, and the only way to enroll in that career is to have a college degree (due to the BACC rules), Jinger started skilling right away. She needed to maximize her chances of getting into uni.
Jonathan maxed out his Cooking skill. He only needed to maximize Cleaning to max all skills. It’s not like that’s because he’s a Knowledge Sim he kept rolling wants to gain skillpoints and I just let him.
Both teenage boys had rolled the want to buy a car, and as they were getting close to aging up they needed the aspiration points. So here it is.
It’s a double birthday for James and Josh. They didn’t change much.
James, who still didn’t have any spouse material, went to Sax & Violins hoping to meet someone.
There were quite some women around, but he had negative chemistry with most of them. He only had one bolt with the blonde woman behind the drums, and two bolts with Christine, the one who he’s talking to in this pic. She went away before they could develop any kind of relationship, but it was nice to at least have met some potential spouses.
Later that night, Ingrid Kijiduin showed up. She was still looking... unusual, due to Max Armadillo’s poor makeover, but despite that they also had two bolts.
They became friends and before James went home, there was even some flirting going on.
Right when he came home, he invited her over. They shared their first kiss right away. Aww, I’m so happy for James.
It felt a bit like a stalker, but the next morning he called her again. I’d like to move her in this rotation, but their second relationship bar wasn’t high enough yet.

Here she is after a makeover. She’s a Knowledge/Grilled Cheese Sim, with the LTW to become Space Pirate. She’s in the Sports career at level 7 so I guess she’ll keep doing that for a while. Her ideal family size is 3.
As Jinger didn’t have her portrait painted yet, Jack started on it. That way, the wall in the living room would be complete soon.
Meanwhile, James and Ingrid were... busy.
