Last week, Oscar, Lynn and their sons Dean and Kyle moved to a bigger house. They adopted Loki the cat, and were trying to have a third baby. But then, tragedy hit: Lynn was struck by lightning in front of Dean's eyes. Oscar, who was sleeping, woke up and hurried outside as soon as he could, but it was too late: the Grim Reaper took Lynn away. Everyone was devastated. Kyle celebrated his birthday without is mom. Oscar, still being a Romance Sim, found a friend with benefits in the newly divorced Marieke van Oosterom. Dean became a teen and by the end of the week, Oscar asked Marieke to move in with them. She brought her toddler and baby daughters, Florence and Cordelia, with her.
Oscar was trying to bond with Florence and Cordelia. It was quite strange for him to suddenly have two little girls to care for, and it was just a little bit too crowded in their little home, but it was nice they had each other as a backup.
Oscar got a bad chance card, but obviously didn't know what it meant.
As we already saw in the previous update, Marieke hadn’t been feeling very well. She kept throwing up.
Kyle had brought home his cousin Finnian van der Storm, and they had a lot of fun together.
That night, it became clear why Marieke kept being sick. She was expecting again! I’m 99% sure it’s Oscar’s baby. Yeah, sure, as if the house wasn’t cramped enough with four kids...
Dean, who was already used to being a big brother, had no problem whatsoever with Florence and Cordelia moving in. He was always happy to help take care of the girls.
Oscar was proud to be the one who potty trained Florence.
Marieke painted Oscar a portrait of a picture of him and Lynn as children. I came across that picture recently and I found it really touching.
Despite their quite unusual situation, Marieke was incredibly happy with her life. Of course she missed Gwyneth and Moses, but she got accepted into this new family faster than she could’ve imagined.
She got her second pop and was actually quite excited to have another baby soon.
Oscar got promoted back to level 7. Funny how he seems quite moody about it, though he was so excited to get demoted.
Birthday time for Cordelia! I can definitely tell Max Armadillo is her father, she looks so much like him.
And that night, the new baby decided it would be a good time to join the family.
Uh-oh... Yep, that’s right. Twins. Again.
Meet Victor (left) and Simone (right). I really have no clue where to place more cribs. Marieke and Oscar seem excited though.
For now, one of the babies can sleep in their bed, while I temporarily stored the chair and dresser to place another crib.
Kyle had his birthday, which was great as it meant one more pair of hands to help out with the two toddlers and two babies. He rolled Knowledge/Pleasure with the LTW to become Chief of Staff. He’s straight and his ideal family size is 1.
Florence also aged up that night. That’s one less toddler to take care of.
Aww, look at that! Dean has a crush! Her name is Belinda.
She’s very good with children, so that’s a good thing.
The twins were about to become toddlers.
Victor, who was very kind and neat, but also a bit shy, looked a lot like his half-brother Kyle. Except for his skin and eye color.
Simone, who was incredibly outgoing but also a tad mean, looked even more like Kyle.
The next day, it was another double birthday.
Here’s Cordelia, who I’m sure will be gorgeous when she gets older.
And here’s Oscar. I can’t believe he’s an elder already.
Dean wasn’t very lucky: he had worked all week to increase his chances of going to university, but when it was Sunday evening and I had to roll, he didn’t have the want to go to college. I have to be strict: even though is LTW is only achievable if he goes to uni, he didn’t roll the want so won’t go.
