Crimson Falls BACC - Week 10: Plaatsjes

Last week, Robin reached her LTW. Josephine became a teen and Archibald bought a community lot: Split Happens, a bowling alley. Archibald fell in love with Danielle, Lulu became an old dog and Robin became an elder. By the end of their eventful week, Archibald and Josephine left for college. That leaves only Robin, Constantijn and their youngest daughter Eleanor at home for this week.

I moved the Plaatsjes family to a retirement home; the former apartment of late Berend Lillig. Technically, this wouldn't be possible as he lived (and died) here the same week, but I decided not to bother. Tracy's old room is great for Eleanor before she moves to college. I'm thinking about moving all the seniors without kids at home into the same household at some point, as it will save me from playing boring rounds with only elder Sims. But that's something to consider later.



That night, it was a double birthday.

I think Constantijn is one of my favourite townies, together with Alwin van der Voeten (who already passed away).
Eleanor rolled Popularity/Romance, and I forgot to write down her LTW.

I felt like I had to feature the dogs in this update, too, so here's a pic of Eleanor bathing them. Sweet old Lulu in the first pic, her son Milo in the second.


Constantijn and his neighbour Maaike Farijs bonded over their love for pets.


Noooo! Just one promotion away from reaching the top of the Law career, Constantijn had a bad chance card and got fired. He actually had all the skill points and friends he needed to get his final promotion, and I was really expecting him to do so this day.



As he had the aspiration benefit to plead for job, he immediately called his boss to get his job back. It didn't work out. Constantijn was absolutely devastated.

He took a parttime job in Science just to make sure he wouldn't be home all day, but I was really bummed.

      

Constantijn quickly found peace with the loss of his job while taking care of the community garden.

He even reached the top of his elder career in no time at all. It wasn't what he expected of topping a career, but he didn't have much of a choice.



I really wanted them to buy a community lot, but they didn't have enough money to buy the one I found suitable for them. So Robin's career reward got placed in the kitchen, as there wasn't room for it anywhere else, and they took turns playing it until they had enough  money.


Constantijn maxed out his body skill, and he actually liked being at home most of the time instead of having a time consuming fulltime job.


When they finally had enough money, Eleanor made the phone call to buy the community lot.



This is Bake O'Clock, their cooking/baking shop that also sells groceries and fresh crops from the community garden. As this is the 20th community lot, that means +1 for the SM!

Robin took care of the sales, while Constantijn was in charge of restocking and Eleanor handled the cash register. They worked together really well and when they left, the shop was at level 5.
This was the time I noticed Constantijn actually had a golden badge for robotics and a silver cosmetology badge. Oh, bummer, it's too late for that.

As it was sunday night, it was time for Eleanor to go to college. She got two scholarships, one for her good grades and one for her high body skill.
