Last week, the Philips family moved into a new house, where they adopted a cat they named Joy. Jack topped his career. Jinger, the youngest kid of the family, became a teen, and soon after her big brothers James and Josh entered adulthood. James started looking for spouse material, and he found love with Ingrid Kijiduin. She moved in, while Josh moved out to live with his girlfriend Abbie Rossi.
James and Ingrid decided the time was right for them to try for a baby. If they really want 3 (Ingrid’s ideal family size) or 4 (James’ ideal family size) children, they might as well get started right away.
James, who didn’t have a career related LTW, found a job in the Business career. He could start at level 2.
Jonathan, despite not needing it for his LTW (as he already fulfilled that by topping his dance career), kept skilling. He only needed to max out Cleaning to max out all of his skills. Soon after this picture, he gained his very last skill point.
It seems like James’ and Ingrid’s wish is about to come true! They’re expecting!
James got promoted to level 3 of his Business career.
Noooo Jack! I was really hoping for him to live to see his new grandchild, but the Grim Reaper had no mercy. Bye Jack, you will be missed!
Jonathan was finding some comfort with Joy, the cat. He spent such a big part of his life with Jack, he felt so lost without him. I kept finding him crying. At the same time, I was worried Jonathan would die soon, too. He and Jack were one of my favourite couples of their generation and it always makes me a bit sad to see my Sims die.
Luckily, they also had something to look forward to. Ingrid entered her third trimester and was ready to give birth any time now.
James was doing great at his job and was already at level 4. He kept skilling in order to make as many promotions as he could.
Ingrid’s contractions right as she came out of the shower. She gave birth to baby Mike right there in the bathroom.
Jonathan was over the moon to meet his first grandson. He had three granddaughters so far: Constance and Aimee (from Jessa) and Maureen (from Jill), so this new addition was very special to him. Not only because it’s a boy, but also because he lives with them.
The last spare room was furnished as a nursery for little Mike.
Jonathan did as much as he could with his grandson. He knew he could die any moment now, and wanted to spend every moment he had left with this little boy.
Jinger developed a crush on her best friend, Dennis. They even fell in love. In the meantime, James brought home another promotion.
On her first day of work after her maternity leave, Ingrid got a good chance card and therefore a promotion to level 8. It looked like she would be on maternity leave again soon!
James also got promoted that day. It led to him being able to buy a (virtual) business, with all of the money they saved.
Jinger and Dennis weren’t exclusive, I guess, as the next day she shared her first kiss with another classmate. His name is Geoffrey and they have 2 bolts.
Ingrid started showing again, so it wasn’t a secret anymore: Mike was going to be a big brother!
Speaking of Mike: he became a toddler. He is incredibly outgoing, very neat yet a tad lazy. And I think he looks mostly like his mom.
Another pop for Ingrid. It won’t be long now.
On Sunday evening, Jinger was lucky enough to enroll in college. She had to roll below 30 and she rolled 26, so off she goes.
To be honest, James wasn’t the loving father I expected him to be. He barely ever interacted with Mike by himself, I had to force him to take care of his son. I was getting quite worried about how things would go with another baby. They already missed Jack, who passed away, and Jinger, who was quite a good help with the kids too. And soon, they would also have to miss Jonathan.
Just before the rotation was over, Ingrid’s contractions started.
She gave birth to another baby boy: Luke.
