Crimson Falls BACC - Week 13: Mauve

Last week, all of the kids were accepted into private school. Bethany, the youngest member of the family, became a teen. All of the teens found jobs, and some of them started working on their flower arranging badges. Bethany found love: she developed a crush on Bruno, who is kind of her friend with benefits. Leopold bought multiple community lots, trying to archieve his LTW. By the end of the week, Leopold and Theodore left for college, while Bethany wasn’t lucky enough and she couldn’t go.

Let’s start this update with a picture of Midnight, the cat, being cuddled by their maid. I figured that if I didn’t put a picture of Midnight in right away, I’d probably forget about her and she wouldn’t make it to this update at all.

Bethany, who was very outgoing, was always busy making new friends.

Alison didn’t feel like she had time for that. She would become an adult soon and was more serious about her job than ever. She wanted to go live with her high school sweetheart Parker de Lange, but she had to wait for the end of the week before she could move out so the ages didn’t get messed up. She could save some money while she was still at home, so they could buy a nice house together next rotation. She was lucky and got a promotion right away on Monday.

Alison topped her teen career, and grew into an adult right away. She’s now at level 4 of the Business career.

On the same evening, Els passed away. Bye Els, you will be missed!

Now that her mom had passed away, Alison realized her dad was also very old. She started spending even more time with him.

Alison invited her lover Parker over. They were desperate to start a family together, but she couldn’t move him in as he was already played this rotation and if she moved out, her age would be messed up. As this family’s rotation was quite boring anyway, I decided to take her off birth control and just see what would happen.

Midnight had a birthday, she’s now an old cat. 

I guess this rotation is going to have a little more than just deaths and Sims getting older!

As her sister went to work, Alison came home with a promotion to level 5 - and her first pop. She was so excited, she even got a new hairstyle with it ;-)

Noah was so excited for his third grandchild. Gabriel already had Atticus with his wife Debora, while Leopold and his girlfriend Leah just became the parents of little Leanne. He was very sad Els wouldn’t meet their third grandbaby though.

Bethany spent some of the household funds to buy another virtual community lot. Only one more to go before the Sim Multiplier goes up by 1 again.

Another promotion and another pop for Alison.

As she really wanted her golden flower arranging badge, she used her maternity leave mostly for that.

Wow, I didn’t expect Noah to start a new romance so soon after he lost his wife. Mieke also lost her husband not long ago, so she definitely knew what he was going through. I was a bit shocked but I decided to let them enjoy their last days together. I expected them both to die very soon.

Noah, Mieke and Bethany were all present when Alison went into labour. Bethany in the background must be like: is this what labour is like? Oh dammit, I’m a Family Sim…

Dorian Mauve had a very warm welcome to Crimson Falls. He’s definitely very loved.

When Bethany held her sister’s baby, she immediately forgot about the labour she just witnessed. Her inner Family Sim immediately showed when she hugged her nephew.


She wasn’t the only one to be excited about the family’s newest addition: Noah immediately rolled the want to have 20 grandchildren! Even if his 6 kids managed to get those 20 kids all together, he definitely won’t live to see that. I still can’t get over the fact that EA put those impossible wants (if you play the game vanilla) in this game.

Parker stopped by to meet his son. Look at that happy face - and the portrait of Els in the background. Aww.

Now that they had a baby together, Alison felt like they needed to make it a little more official. She proposed. Parker said yes - of course.

On Sunday evening, Alison and Dorian moved out to live with their fiancé and father Parker. This event marked the end of this rotation for this family. To be honest, I was surprised Noah lived for the entire week!

Crimson Falls BACC - Week 13: Philips

Last week, the Philips family moved into a new house, where they adopted a cat they named Joy. Jack topped his career. Jinger, the youngest kid of the family, became a teen, and soon after her big brothers James and Josh entered adulthood. James started looking for spouse material, and he found love with Ingrid Kijiduin. She moved in, while Josh moved out to live with his girlfriend Abbie Rossi.

James and Ingrid decided the time was right for them to try for a baby. If they really want 3 (Ingrid’s ideal family size) or 4 (James’ ideal family size) children, they might as well get started right away. 

James, who didn’t have a career related LTW, found a job in the Business career. He could start at level 2.

Jonathan, despite not needing it for his LTW (as he already fulfilled that by topping his dance career), kept skilling. He only needed to max out Cleaning to max out all of his skills. Soon after this picture, he gained his very last skill point.

It seems like James’ and Ingrid’s wish is about to come true! They’re expecting!

James got promoted to level 3 of his Business career.

Noooo Jack! I was really hoping for him to live to see his new grandchild, but the Grim Reaper had no mercy. Bye Jack, you will be missed!

Jonathan was finding some comfort with Joy, the cat. He spent such a big part of his life with Jack, he felt so lost without him. I kept finding him crying. At the same time, I was worried Jonathan would die soon, too. He and Jack were one of my favourite couples of their generation and it always makes me a bit sad to see my Sims die.

Luckily, they also had something to look forward to. Ingrid entered her third trimester and was ready to give birth any time now.

James was doing great at his job and was already at level 4. He kept skilling in order to make as many promotions as he could.

Ingrid’s contractions right as she came out of the shower. She gave birth to baby Mike right there in the bathroom.

Jonathan was over the moon to meet his first grandson. He had three granddaughters so far: Constance and Aimee (from Jessa) and Maureen (from Jill), so this new addition was very special to him. Not only because it’s a boy, but also because he lives with them.

The last spare room was furnished as a nursery for little Mike.

Jonathan did as much as he could with his grandson. He knew he could die any moment now, and wanted to spend every moment he had left with this little boy.

Jinger developed a crush on her best friend, Dennis. They even fell in love. In the meantime, James brought home another promotion.

On her first day of work after her maternity leave, Ingrid got a good chance card and therefore a promotion to level 8. It looked like she would be on maternity leave again soon!

James also got promoted that day. It led to him being able to buy a (virtual) business, with all of the money they saved. 

Jinger and Dennis weren’t exclusive, I guess, as the next day she shared her first kiss with another classmate. His name is Geoffrey and they have 2 bolts.

Ingrid started showing again, so it wasn’t a secret anymore: Mike was going to be a big brother!

Speaking of Mike: he became a toddler. He is incredibly outgoing, very neat yet a tad lazy. And I think he looks mostly like his mom. 

Another pop for Ingrid. It won’t be long now.

On Sunday evening, Jinger was lucky enough to enroll in college. She had to roll below 30 and she rolled 26, so off she goes.

To be honest, James wasn’t the loving father I expected him to be. He barely ever interacted with Mike by himself, I had to force him to take care of his son. I was getting quite worried about how things would go with another baby. They already missed Jack, who passed away, and Jinger, who was quite a good help with the kids too. And soon, they would also have to miss Jonathan.

Just before the rotation was over, Ingrid’s contractions started.

She gave birth to another baby boy: Luke.
