Last week, the Petal family just moved to Crimson Falls. Siblings Cedar, Linnea, Rosemary and Basil worked hard to earn enough money to buy a restaurant. They failed to get it up to level 5, but I rewarded myself by opening a position in the Culinary career anyway, as it was a real pain in the ***. Basil's high school love interest aged up with him, but instead of ending up together, Dianna had more of a soft spot for his big brother Cedar. By the end of the week, Linnea and Rosemary moved out, while Dianna moved in with Cedar and Basil.
The week started with a little remodelling. I'm planning on having both Basil and Cedar living here with their (future) wives and children, so now they both have their own side of the house. The kitchen, dining room and living room are shared. Basil's side is on the left, Cedar's side is on the right.
Both of the guys are lucky enough to find a job right away on Monday. Cedar got a job in the medical career, Basil in the culinary career. They both start at level 1.
On his first day of work, Cedar comes home with a promotion to level 2. He and Dianna celebrate with some couch WooHoo.
Speaking of Dianna, she invites a friend for dinner. Her name is Valerie and I thought she might be relationship material for Basil, so Dianna keeps chatting with her until Basil comes home from work.
Basil came home with a promotion to level 2, and had a little chat with Valerie. They had two bolts, so my plan seemed to work!
That night, Dianna found out she was pregnant!
The next day, Basil didn't have to go to work. He invited Valerie over for a date.
They had a meal together (with Dianna, too) and shared their first (ACR) kiss!
Oh, poor Cedar. He had a bad chance card and got fired.
Basil and Valerie had a dream date.
The next morning when Basil woke up, he invited Valerie over right away. He asked her to move in.
Here she is, in a new outfit. She's a Popularity/Knowledge Sim with the LTW to top culinary. She has a job in Law Enforcement (level 7), which is great as there won't be an opening in Culinary soon (Basil has to top his career first). She has a very balanced personality, yet she is quite outgoing.
They didn't waste any time.
Dianna and Valerie spent some time chatting about the upcoming baby. They had to stop talking because Dianna got her second pop.
Another promotion for Basil! I want him to top his career as soon as possible, but it probably won't be this rotation. In his work outfit, you can see his pointy ears.
Cedar found another job in the Medical career. Let's hope he doesn't get fired this time.

It looks like that wasn't the only thing she was happy about: Valerie is pregnant!
With two babies on the way, they figured it would be convenient to have two cribs in the nursery. So much for both families having their own sides of the house :-)
Cedar popped the question. Dianna accepted his proposal, of course. Don't you think she looks stunning while pregnant?
Speaking of being pregnant; she won't be for long. That night, she goes into labour. Both Cedar and Basil are there to witness the birth.
It's a girl! Meet Ella Appleton.
Valerie loves the little girl to pieces, she can't wait until her own baby will arrive.
Basil proposed! He and Valerie got married right away, much to Dianna's joy. She loved having her best friend as her sister-in-law.
Speaking of Dianna, she was painting a lot and managed to max out her creativity skill.
Basil was so cute, autonomously playing with Ella all the time. As Valerie had her second pop, it won't be long now until he has a baby of his own.
Cedar was lucky enough to get two promotions in a row. He's now at level 3 of the medical career.
It's time for another baby!

Basil had a bad chance card, he's back at level 2 now. The boys aren't doing great at work this rotation.
I love having two families in one household, and it looks like it's going to get even more crowded!

I'm guessing it won't be long for Valerie is pregnant again, too. They are pretty shameless.

And we end this week with Basil getting promoted to level 4! Luckily there was still some progression in their careers this week, I was starting to get worried with all the bad chance cards.
